The church is part of the Pentecostal church movement and is currently led by Deverton Douglas. The name refers to the second part of the Bible commonly called the New Testament, it’s where the life of Jesus is recorded. The main hall in the building seats up to 1000 people and was opened in 2009. The site was purchased by the NTCG in 1962. The very first public services of NTCG in Britain were held in Wolverhampton (am) and Handsworth (pm) on 20th September 1953. The church building was previously Aston Villa Methodist Church, built in 1865, where Aston Villa football club was formed in 1874. The Church was called Villa Cross Wesleyan Chapel, hence the name Aston Villa!
